We all know that prices vary at different sources so that's a good reason for doing a good search.

Prices that vary to the extent you quote would make me a little wary. The cheaper ones may well be OK, but why are they cheaper? Are they cheap copies or what? I am not able to give a definitive answer. I'd be looking to confirm that they are the make of bulb wanted and that the manufacturer's name was spelt the same!

I bought some cheaper halogen downlight household bulbs as the others were expensive. The cheaper ones lasted just over two months, give or take. So I bought the considerably more expensive ones, and they are still going after four years plus.

If I search the web for a 'Metal Halide 250W 10,000K Single ended Mogul Aquarium Bulb' I will find bulbs available from $15.00 to $80.00 all matching the requested specs.. Why is that? What is differant with the 'cheap' bulbs?
